Question 1

How is a quotation worked out?

Accepted Answer

Every job is assessed individually. Price depends on mileage, vehicle type, waiting time, access requirements, delivery deadlines, weight, dimensions and any additional services. We do not publish instant online prices, because a headline figure that changes later is no use to anyone. Send us the details and we will come back with a written quotation.

Question 2

Which areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We provide nationwide UK coverage from our operating base at Gatwick. Our strongest operational coverage is across London, the M25, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, the South Coast and the Midlands, but collections and deliveries can be arranged throughout the United Kingdom.

Question 3

What vehicles do you operate?

Accepted Answer

We operate our own LWB Sprinter vans, Luton vans, 7.5-tonne trucks and 18-tonne rigid vehicles, with tail-lift and pallet-handling capability available where required. Articulated vehicles, specialist vehicle types and additional capacity can be coordinated through carefully selected transport partners when a requirement extends beyond our core fleet.

Question 4

Are you a courier company?

Accepted Answer

No. We are a transport and logistics provider working with business customers. Our work is dedicated: your consignment travels on its own vehicle, direct from collection to delivery, rather than through a parcel network.

Question 5

Do you provide customs clearance?

Accepted Answer

No. Customs clearance is handled by your own appointed customs agent or freight forwarder, or by an agreed specialist partner. We coordinate with them so the collection can take place promptly once the goods have been released.

Question 6

Can you store goods?

Accepted Answer

We can offer limited, secure overnight holding by prior arrangement where goods are collected one day and delivered the next. We do not operate a large warehouse and we do not offer long-term warehousing.

Question 7

Can you handle regular or contracted work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we would like to. We are actively looking to place vehicles on daily, weekly and seasonal routes. A standing arrangement means agreed vehicles, agreed days and agreed rates. Get in touch to discuss what your business needs.

Question 8

How much notice do you need?

Accepted Answer

For planned work, a few days' notice gives us the best chance of allocating the right vehicle at the best price. For urgent same-day movements, call us — where we have a vehicle available we can often be on the road quickly.

Question 9

Do you subcontract work?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes, and we are open about it. Most work runs on our own vehicles. Where a job needs a vehicle type we do not operate or several vehicles at once, we place it with carriers we have selected and vetted, who hold the appropriate operator licence and insurance cover. We remain your point of contact.

Question 10

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

Accepted Answer

Quoted prices are exclusive of VAT, which is added at the prevailing rate on the invoice. All services are subject to written quotation, availability, vehicle suitability and our agreed terms.
